ดร.วังการี มาไทเสียชีวิต เนื่องจากมะเร็งมดลูก เขาเป็นท่านหนึ่งที่ผมเคารพมากที่สุด จึงรู้สึกเศร้าและเสียใจมาก

งานที่ท่านได้ทำมากมาย เมื่อปี 2547 ท่านได้รับรางวัลโนเวลด้วย
